Following Allan's death in 1994, an archive was created to house the
thousands of drawings, paintings, sculpture, and other personal articles
which remained in his studio. It also holds his library, his personal
art and artifact collection, sketchbooks, photographs, and personal
documents. Open only to museum curators and scholars, the archives
serve as an invaluable resource for traveling exhibitions and research.
In 1998 Mrs. Anna Marie Houser created the
ALLAN
HOUSER FOUNDATION to administer her collection and to operate
the archives.
